Today, an estimated 150,000 people in Sweden are living with coeliac disease. When Anna, the founder of Oldana, was diagnosed herself in 1988, there were very few gluten-free options available in grocery stores, and she often had to turn to health food shops with a limited and expensive selection. This became the foundation of the Olda product range and business idea: to offer tasty, affordable, gluten- and allergen-free products.

In the beginning, Anna spent a great deal of time educating buyers about coeliac disease and highlighting the importance of offering a gluten-free range in grocery stores—something that is now considered a given. Today, Olda products can be found in almost every store across Sweden. In 2023, Oldana celebrated 30 years, as did our very first product, the classic Spröda Majsbröd (Crisp Corn Crackers)!
